Matthias Hagman was born at Eidberg and baptized 21 June 1612 at Oberwinterthur. He married twice and died at Eidberg 11 October 1675. He married Anna Nussli of Oberlangenhart 8 may 1632. She was baptized 27 May 1612 and died 3 December 1654. Matthias married second, Regula Bosshart of Schlatt 6 June 1655. She died 12 August 1683.

Matthias and Anna were living at Eidberg with his father and mother next to his sister Anna and her husband, Heinrich, at the time of the 1634 census and subsequent ones through 1649. The baptisms of their children are found in the records of Oberwinterthur. Matthias remained with the Oberwinterthur Church after Eidberg became part of the new parish of Seen in 1649. Anna's and Regula's deaths, the baptisms of the two children by Regula and Matthias' death are recorded at Oberwinterthur. The fate of some of the children is unknown, but in 1663, Ulrich and hans Jogli Hagman, sons of Mathys of Eidberg were named on a list of people who had recently left the Confederation (Switzerland); (Verzeichnisse vo Ausgewanderten aus Pfarrein Verschiedenen Kapital, 1657-1663; Bevolkerungs-Verzeichnisse, E-II-270;(Staatsachiv, Zurich), p.223).

Matthias married Anna Nussli, daughter of Conrad Nussli and Margareth Wanner, on 8 May 1632 in Eidberg, Canton Zurich, Switzerland.⁴⁶⁰ (Anna Nussli was born in May 1612 in Oberlangenhart, Zell, Canton Zurich, Switzerland, christened on 27 May 1612 in Zell, Canton Zurich, Switzerland and died on 3 Dec 1654 in Eidberg, Canton Zurich, Switzerland.)
