Geoffrey de Worsley was the son of Richard de Worsley, son of Elias. Geoffrey was in possession of his father's estates in 1254 [Lancs. Inq. and Extents, i, 193]. He died sometime before 1268. His wife, named Agnes [Whalley Coucher, i, 55] survived him. His son was Richard de Worsley, and was still living in 1292 [Assize R. 408, m. 32].

Geoffrey also had a daughter named Isabel who married Richard de Bolton. Geoffrey gave in free marriage certain lands in Holeclough, with easements in Worsley, Mokenis excepted, the rent being a pair of white gloves.

Records in which Geoffrey appear are:
(1) Geoffrey was on a jury in 1254, which inquired into certain trespasses on Thomas Grelley's parks [Lancashire Inquest and Extents, Vol. i, p. 193]
(2) Geoffrey made grants in Hulton [Assize Roll of 1246]
(3) Agnes widow of Geoffrey de Worsley released to the Abbot of Stanlaw all claim to land in Little Houghton which her husband had sold to Richard de Byron; Richard de Worsley, her first-born, was a witness [Whalley Coucher, i, 55]. She also released her claim to dower in lands in Monton and Swinton given to Geoffrey de Byron [Ellesmere D. no. 214].
