Salvador Manuel de Armijo, refered to himself as the second son the that name of Vicente Durán de Armijo in his will drawn up in 1764. He married Francisca Alfonsa Lucero de Godoy in Santa Fe on 19 Oct 1734. In his will, he descripted himself as a poor soldier who had attained earthly good through hard work in Alburquerque. His mililitary duties had taken him to Alburquerque, and there he and his wife raised their twelve children.

These children were :

• Antonia who married Antonio Durán y Cháves on 24 Nov 1774
• Manuela who married Pablo Durán y Cháves on 12 Jan 1776 (after being married to Cristóbal Jarmillo)
• María de la Luz married Francisco Antonio Candelaria on 28 Aug 1767
• Pablo married Josefa Durán y Cháves in 1774, the daughter of Ignacio Durán y Cháves
• José married María Gudalupe Durán y Cháves on 16 Jun 1774
• Ysabel married Bernardino Durán y Cháves on 20 Apr 1769
• Santiago may have married Rosalía Cháves on 2 Feb 1782

There were four legitimate left in the care of his brother Manuel de Armijo.

Francisca married Salvador Manuel "el Segundo" Durán de Armijo, son of Vicente Durán de Armijo and María Magdalena de Apodaca, on 19 Oct 1734 in Santa Fé, Nuevo Méjico, Nueva España.²⁵² (Salvador Manuel "el Segundo" Durán de Armijo was born about 1712 in Santa Fé, Nuevo Méjico, Nueva España and died on 4 Dec 1764 in Alburquerque, Nuevo Méjico, Nueva España ²⁵².)
