On 10 Aug 1733, the first Salvador Manuel married María Francisca Baca in Alburquerque. This marriage caused a great commontion in Santa Fé and Alburquerque when he wooed and married Francisca Baca against the will of her father Antonio Baca, and the sentiment of the so called "higher society" of New México. They were later married in a more solemn and official ceremony in Alburquerque in 1735.

Their known son was Alfonso, who died on 22 Sep 1737. By 1748, Salvador and Francisca were living in Nambé, and their daughter, Lucía Antonia, was born on 9 Jul 1748.
