Sir William Massy of Tatton, married Margery, daughter of Thomas Legh, of High Legh de West Hall [Lib. C. fol. 267, #12]. This was about 1307. Their children were: Hugh Massy, son and heir; Oliver Massy of Denfield in Rosthorn; Richard Massey of Dich-house in Rosthorn; Ellen, married to Gilbert Hassall of Hassall in Lancashire, and afterwards to Sir William Brereton of Brereton in Cheshire.
