Elena la Zouch was the eldest daughter and coheir of Alan, last Baron Zouche of Ashby, who died in 1314. Elena was born about Jun 1287, and was found to be twenty-seven years of age in Aug 1314, being at that time the wife of Nicholas de St. Maur. She had two sons with Nicholas before he died in Dec. 1316. Elena married Sir Alan de Cherlton about 1317/8. She bore him a son also named Alan. She died long before her husband.
