Richard Doone, lord of Utkyton, son and heir of Richard Doone by his wife Elizabeth, daughter of Sir Hugh Venables, appears by plea to a writ of Quo Warranto 32 Edward I. His Inq. p.m. was 6 Edward II. Richard Doone married first to Elen, daughter of Sir Thomas de Swynerton. The mother of his children was his second wife, Isabella, who was a widow by 9/10 Edward II when she remarried to Robert de Huxley.
