~George Ormerod's, The History of the County Palatine and City of Chester, Vol. II, p. 290, The Bulkeley's of Haughton descended from William de Halghton, a younger brother of the manerial lords of this township, who by Inq. p.m. 39 Edward III died seized of lands in Haughton & Tarporley, leaving Nichola, daughter of Thomas le Brid, and wife of Peter de Bulkylegh, next of kin and heir.
