Hugh de Buron, was the Baron of Horestan, who, in the reign of Henry II, retired from all secular affair, professed himself a monk, and held the hermitage of Kersale, belonging to the priory of Lenton, as appears by deed of King John, confirming that hermitage to the said priory. He left Roger as his son and heir, and a daughter who married Peter le Veil.

Hugo de Buron, living 1143/4, was the grandson of Ralph, and feudal baron of Horestan, retiring from secular affairs, professed himself a monk, and held the hermitage of Kirsale, near Manchester, under the priory of Lenton. His sons were Sir Roger and Hugh de Buron.
