~A History of the Parish of Barwick-in-Elmet, in the County of York, Clitheroe pedigree, p. 163, John le Gras, or Crassu, of Gembling, married Isabella, daughter and heir of John le Aleman, lord of Studley. The son of Isabel le Aleman and John le Gras, aslo named John le Gras, married Paulina, said to be an Alington of Cambridgeshire, who inherited the manors of Wimpole, Armington, Eversdon and Ickleton. ⁷³⁴
