bullet  Information about this person:

History of the Draycott Family .
There is little documentation about Philip de Draycote with the exception that he was a supporter of Harvey Bagot and his cliam to the Barony of Stafford. Also, it was recorded that he acquired lands in Derbyshire at a location called Wilne (in Draycott, Derbyshire). Philip was born about 1150 and the last recorded date for him is 1212. Philip had three sons, Hugh, Richard and Robert. There is no clear evidence of which of Philip's sons succeed him. Hugh may have succeeded him and been the father of Sir Richard Draycote or Richard, the second son of Philip, may be his father.

The author of this website cites W. Fowler Carter's "History of the Draycott Family" from the 1925 edition of Collections for a History of Staffordshire, edited by the William Salt Archaeological Society as his source.
