~Ormerod's History of the County Palatine and City of Chester, Vol. II, p. 492, His daughter Matilda married Robert Leigh of Adlington. Adam de Norley was not of the Norleys of Cheshire, but was of the Norleys of Lancashire. Matilda brought lands of Norley, Lancashire to the Legh family of Cheshire with her marriage to Robert Leigh. ⁷¹³
