John de Thorpe, who lived in the 1st half of the 13th century, is mentioned in the Inquisition post mortem (1306) of Roger Fitz Piers Fitz Osbert. He married Margaret, sister and (in her issue) coheir of Bartholomew de Creke, of North Creake, Norfolk, and Combs, Suffolk, daughter of Robert de Creke, of the same, presumably by his 1st wife, Agnes, daughter of William de Glanville.

Cecily and her sister and coheir, Rose, wife of Edmund de Pakenham, were co heirs of their paternal great-grandmother, Isabel wife of John Valoines, sister and (in her issue) coheir of Bartholomew de Creke, of North Creake, Norfolk and Combe, Suffolk, daughter of Robert de Ceke of the same.
