Charles I, Count of Anjou, King of Naples and Sicily was born in 1220 and died in 1285. Charles was the son of Louis VIII, King of France and Blanche of Castille. Charles married Beatrix of Provence, daughter of Raymond V. Berenger and Beatrix of Savoy. Charles and Beatrix were the parents of Charles II, King of Naples who married Marie of Hungary.
