John Flegg, son of James Flegg, was born about 1465. He is mentioned in the will in 1480 of his uncle, Sir William Flegg. He is also mentioned in his father's will in 1527. John's name sppears in records for Shipdham from 1500 until about 1524.
John's will was dated 25 Jan 1535/36. He asked to be burried in the churchyard of Shipdham. He names his wife Margaret, his son Richard, his daughter Joane and his son William. His will was proved by the executors (Willaim Flegg & Richard Bushe) on 2 Jan 1536/37. John was married Margaret Wenne about 1490. Margaret Wenne was the sister of Thomas Wenne of Shipdham and east Dereham who mentions his sister, Margaret Flegg, in his will dated 1 Dec 1533.
