Thomas Ross was baptized on 12 Apr 1632 in St. Nicholas, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. His parents are listed as Robert Ross and Jonet Collin.

Thomas Ross was a prisoner of war from Scotland send to the Bristish American colonies as an indentured servant. In 1656 he was indentured to Edward Winship of Cambridge. Thomas moved in 1670 to Billerica, buying the five-acre 'right' of Samuel Kemp. He married, on 16 Jan 1661/62, Seeth Holman, daughter of William of Cambridge. Thomas died 20 Mar 1694/95 at age 64. Seeth died in the Native American massacre of 5 Aug 1695.
