In Albuquerque on 16 September 1785, Father Lago baptized four-day-old Diego Antonio Pelipe de los Dolores, the legitimate son of Jose Armijo and Maria Guadalupe Chaves, citizens of Atrisco. His godparents were Jose Manana de la Peria and his wife, Maria Soledad Gutierrez.

Diego married María Josefa Javiera Barreras, daughter of José Felipe Barreras and Rafaela Augustina Chávez, on 30 Apr 1809 in Tomé, Nuevo Méjico, Nueva España.⁴⁶ (María Josefa Javiera Barreras was born on 18 Mar 1787 in Belén, Nuevo Méjico, Nueva España ⁸⁰² and was baptized on 25 Mar 1787 in San Agustín de la Isleta, Isleta, Nueva Méjico, Nueva España ⁴³⁸.)

Diego Armijo, 23, single, a citizen of the Alburquerque jurisdiction, the legitimate son the of Jose Armijo and late Maria Guadalupe Chaves. Maria Josefa Javiera Barrerras, 20, single, a citizen of the Alburquerque jurisdiction, was the legitimate daughter of Jose Barreras and Rafaela Chaves. The couple was related in the fourth degree of consanguinity on a transverse line.

Father Álvarez questioned Diego who stated that he was bom and grew up in the Alburquerque jurisdiction and had moved to Belén six years earlier. Maria Josefa Berreras was a life long resident of the Belén area.

Witnesses:
Dionisio Trujillo, 60, a parishioner of Belén, stated that the couple was related to most of the people of their station in the area. María Josefa had her mother's pennission to marry; Diego had that of his relatives.
Bernardo Lucero, 52, a parishioner of Belén.

Father Álvarez stated that María Josefa had her mother's permission to marry, but her father had been a fugitive for seven years. He was known to be in the province of Sonora, although his place of residence was unknown.

In Durango on 27 September, Vicar General Millán Rodríguez granted a dispensation.
