11 Jan 1766, Alburquerque. Suit brought by Miguel Durán y Chaves vs. José Antonio Salazar for violating his daughter, María Rosa Durán y Chaves, with promise of marriage and leaving her pregnant.

Testimonies before Felipe Jacobo Romero, Notary:

Francisco Pablo Salazar defends his son, José Antonio, while Chaves cites Gervasio Montoya as his witness.

Gervasio (22), says that José Antonio Salazar had told he that he had "deflowered" the girl, but without promise of marriage.

María Rosa Durán y Chaves (22), having already given birth, claims breach of promise, but does not wish to marry Salazar because of his attitude.

José Antonio Salazar (23) deposes that he had had relations with Rosa about fifteen times.
