Charles Cawley's Medieval Lands Adelaide de France was the daughter of Louis VII Rey de France and his second wife doña Constanza de Castilla. "The Chronicle of Alberic de Trois-Fontaines names "reginam Margaretam Anglie et comitissam Aaliz" as children of King Louis VII & his second wife, specifying that Alix married "Guilelmus comes de Pontivo" [Chronica Albrici Monachi Trium Fontium 1164, MGH SS XXIII, p. 848]."
