Pons (Pontius), son of Simon, probably, son and heir, held 8 fees of old feoffment of the Honor of the Earl of Gloucester in 1166. These fees may safely be held to coincide with the 7 or 7 1/2 fees held by Nicholas Poyntz, of that Honor in 1202-3 and 1211-2, fees held of the same Honor by his grandson Nicholas in 1262, viz. the manors of Tockington and Swell, Glos.
