• Background Information: 120b, 567 Philip de Fleg son of another Philip de Fleg, and father to Philip Fleg, was born about 1250. He is the only Philip de Fleg during his early years to be located in Norwich. One record of him was in 1286, when he complained that Hugh de Haye of Sall trespassed on land in Sall formerly grand to his father. He also appears as a witness to a grant, dated at Norwich on 12 Nov 1298, by Thomas Bardoff to John Palmer of land in Spinxworth, Norfolk.
